The Ultimate Ibiza Wedding Timeline: When to Book Your Hair & Makeup Artist

Planning a wedding abroad can feel overwhelming at first, but once you understand how Ibiza works, everything starts to fall into place. From booking your suppliers early to fitting in a bridal trial around your travel plans, a little preparation goes a long way.

Here’s your realistic Ibiza wedding timeline — what to book, when to book it, and how to make the most of your destination wedding experience.

12–18 Months Before the Wedding: Secure Your Core Team

Once your venue and date are confirmed, it’s time to book your key suppliers. Ibiza wedding season runs from May to October, and the best venues, planners, photographers, and makeup artists often get booked more than a year in advance.

This is the perfect time to:

Booking early gives you first choice of artist and allows us to start talking about your vision, your venue, and what kind of look will complement the setting.

6–9 Months Before: Build the Vision

As your ideas start to come together; dress, colours, flowers, location this is when I love to chat through inspiration. We can start to plan what kind of hair and makeup will suit the season, your style, and your venue’s vibe. It’s also a great moment to plan your bridal trial if you’re visiting Ibiza for a planning trip.

3–6 Months Before: Schedule Your Bridal Trial (If You Can)

Many Ibiza brides fit their trial in during a spring or early summer visit to the island. This gives us time to experiment with products that work best in the Ibiza heat and humidity, and to create your version of The Ibiza Glow — natural, radiant, and long-lasting.

If you’re travelling from further away and won’t be on the island until the wedding week, don’t stress. Plenty of my brides have their trial just a few days before the wedding; we simply allow extra time and make it a relaxed part of the build-up.

1–2 Months Before: Final Details & Timings

This is when we’ll confirm everything. I’ll coordinate with your planner and yourself to make sure timings are smooth and your morning feels calm and enjoyable. Together we’ll set the prep schedule for you, your bridal party, and anyone else having hair and makeup.

Wedding Week: Calm, Organised, and Beautiful

By the time I arrive on your wedding morning, everything’s ready. I’ll bring my full professional kit, arrive on time, and keep the prep space relaxed but organised so you can enjoy every minute.

Some brides like to add a second look for the evening — a fresh makeup refresh or new hairstyle before the party starts — and we can plan this in advance too.

Why This Timeline Works for Destination Weddings

Ibiza runs on island time, but your wedding doesn’t have to. Planning your beauty timeline around your travel dates gives you flexibility while still securing the suppliers you love. Whether you’re booking your trial six months before or the week of your wedding, the key is getting your artist locked in early so everything else can fall into place.
