Planning one from the other side of the world comes with a whole new set of questions.

When Shannon first got in touch with me from Colorado, she was organising her dream wedding in Ibiza without ever having met me in person. Like so many destination brides, she was putting her trust in suppliers she'd only spoken to online. I know how big that leap of faith can feel, so from our very first conversation my goal was to make the whole experience as easy and reassuring as possible.

We chatted throughout the planning process, talking through her wedding style, the atmosphere she wanted to create and how she wanted to feel on the day. Then, three days before the wedding, we finally met for her bridal trial here in Ibiza.

I always love that moment. A bridal trial isn't just about perfecting your hair and makeup. It's when everything suddenly starts to feel real. You get to see your bridal look come to life, make any little tweaks if needed and walk away knowing exactly how you'll look and feel on your wedding day. It gives my brides a huge confidence boost, and I know Shannon felt exactly the same.

On the morning of the wedding, Shannon got ready at the beautiful 7Pines Resort before heading to Elixir for a breathtaking cliffside ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean. The whole wedding reflected the colours of an Ibiza sunset, with vibrant pink and orange flowers, bridesmaids dressed in a beautiful spectrum of warm tones and the most relaxed, joyful atmosphere.

For her bridal look, Shannon chose a soft half-up, half-down hairstyle paired with my signature glowing skin and fresh, timeless makeup. My aim is never to make someone look like a different person. I want every bride to look in the mirror and feel like the very best version of herself, confident, comfortable and still completely her.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job isn't seeing the photographs afterwards. It's hearing how my brides felt throughout the experience.

After the wedding, Shannon left me a review that honestly meant the world.

"Planning a destination wedding can be stressful and I never had any stress about my makeup and hair because of her."

That one sentence perfectly sums up what I hope every bride experiences.

Hair and makeup are only one part of your wedding day, but they shouldn't be another thing to worry about. From your first enquiry to your trial and finally your wedding morning, I want you to feel completely looked after. When you know you're in safe hands, you can stop stressing about the little details and simply enjoy one of the best days of your life.

If you're planning a destination wedding in Ibiza, my advice is to choose suppliers who make you feel calm and confident long before you arrive on the island. Read their reviews, ask questions, chat to them properly and make sure you feel a genuine connection. The right suppliers don't just provide a service; they become part of your wedding experience.

Shannon, thank you for trusting me with such an important part of your day. It was such a pleasure to be part of your Ibiza adventure, and I couldn't have been happier to see you looking so relaxed, confident and beautiful as you walked down the aisle.

If you are planning your destination wedding I’d love to hear from you!!
