One of my favourite shoots of the summer has just gone live which is always super exciting.  We finally get to see and share the beautiful images from a gorgeous day shooting in Formentera.

This is the latest campaign from Australian brand Beginning Boutique and was shot by Grace Markham who has recently relocated back to the UK after a good few years in Brisbane.

The fabulous Danielle Saville styled it who I used to work in the UK for various brands with so it was great to have a friendly face over working on the island too.

Featuring the gorgeous face of Miss Maya Stepper I am really happy to be able to share this latest work from a sterling team!

So that was certainly the busiest I have been on a Halloween EVER!

The sunny day started off in the beautiful Ibiza Food Studio finca where the staff became a delightful colony of sultry vampires and then as the lunch revellers arrived I was on hand to paint, decorate and create their horrortastic looks.

By 3pm it was time to move on to an afternoon of back to back bookings ranging from gloomy winter dark looks to shiny golden mermaids.

Many sugar skulls and slit throats later the night ended around 1am where the brushes were put down and the last of the black paint was packed away.

As always the makeup artist has no time to get ready so as I was whisked over to pikes using just a MAC smolder eyeshadow I sculpted in a gaunt face and a smudgy eye.  Ah well, there’s always next year.

The product of the day recommended to me by Jo @jamface makeup was my new favourite from Makeup Forever, their waterproof cream eyeshadow in Aqua Black.  A must for a makeup artists kit especially on a night like Halloween.

So every spring summer we like to go over the runway inspired looks for the season.  What I thought was really prominent and massively refreshing too was the shift from strong brows, contour and frankly strong everything to a few different fresher options.

My favourite as always for ease on the hot island is the new statement lips with fresh skin and groomed brows.  Not much else; maximum impact, minimal effort.

To recreate it this summer I will go for the following:

Prep the skin with a dewy highlighter such as MAC Strobe cream

NARS tinted moisturiser as a base used sparingly applied with fingers for a fresh un done look

Softly sculpted cheeks and eyes using a colour just warmer than your natural skin tone.  I like to use MAC mineralise powders for a bit of extra glow

Brush brows up and fill in any gaps using my favourite Morphe brow pallette (such perfect tones for all brow colours)

Then the pièce de résistance my new go to lipstick range by Charlotte Tilbury in Glastonberry would be a gorgeous dark lip for summer nights.
